"I am amazed by this restaurant the food is incredible!! We ordered two days in a row it was so delicious. The soup with fufu was incredible!! We also tried the pepper goat soup and it was fabulous we've had the Abula and the toMato soup all highly recommended. "
"Abula was tasteless. Amala was very small portion. Just like appetizer. The beef they put inside was 3 pieces of bite size beef. Even jollof rice was small quantity, poor packaging. The paper box they put the rice in was deformed and filled with quarter of rice. Do not recommend o. It's giving stingy."

"Don't get me wrong in my prior review. My issue is only in the description on the menu and the way in which the new handlers of the restaurant as well as doordash customer service handled the situation. The chicken itself, as well as price, are delicious and reasonable. The chicken is fried, then covered in a wonderful sauce, I actually need jarred. It's tender and juicy and falls right off the bone. It beats KFC down the street. 😋 2days in a row. Worth having everybody 😉20 Stars Hands Down Easily!"
"Egwusi soup and pounded yam is very wholesome and rich and nutritious, and especially delicious! it was eaten before I got a picture, sorry. 😆 Third time I've gotten it, before with fish and then with chicken. Today it was with oxtail, and that's tender and smoky and also tasty. Had some nice fried plantain on the side, those are always good. I'll for sure order here again and recommend the food here to Friends. Thank you!"

"This was so good! This is my second time ordering from them and I must say this is the BEST African food I have EVER tasted! The first time I ordered I got the jollof rice, chicken, vegetables,& plantain ( which usually I won't eat) I cleaned that plate too ! It shocked me that it was a little spicy but that's ok because the flavor was very much present! Even the pounded yam ( FUFU) was good! The first place I ordered I didn't want to eat the fufu ( it wasn't bad but it wasn't like this!) & their Egusi also didn't have as my much flavor! Even my bf liked the Egusi soup and chicken! He's super picky lol. Kinda mad I shared because this was so good! I do wish I got a little more Egusi but that might just be my greedy side talking lol"
"The egusi and ayamase are delicious.

" I've had the veggie platter at all the restaurants in Berkeley in Oakland area. I think this one might be the best most flavorful one.
I don't like the plastic packaging really hope they can switch to something compostable in the future, but sometimes that can be difficult for preserving the quality during travel and I get that "

"Veggie/Meat Combo was great"
"I'm surprised at the negative reviews the portions were appropriate for the price and the injera was really delicious and a good amount. I ordered two portions of injera and had leftovers for two days. The red lentils was really really good 10/10 perfect blend of spices. The yellow lentils, gomen and cabbage were regular but tasty although the yellow lentils were a little dry like they needed just a little more water but overall very delicious and has home cooked taste."

"This was my first time not only trying Filipino food, but also food from this restaurant. It was definitely a hit for me with both the Pancit Bihon w/ Chicken and Shanghai Lumpia (Chicken). Both were large, generous portions, to the point where I was not even able to finish it. I especially loved the Shanghai Lumpia (Chicken) which wwte just the right size and really smooth and easy to go down. A really tasty treat. For the Pancit Bihon w/ Chicken, while also really great, I wish it had a little more spice to it, just a little kick or something. I understand that's how it's made, so I ended up adding some crushed trees pepper to it (that I happed to have). I may use another hot sauce next time just to help bring out more of the flavor. But overall, I really liked it and will be ordering again from here with no hesitation!"

"My family has been eating here for over 15 years. The best and fresh made Doro Tibsy and Kitfo with more than enough for seconds! Would highly recommend."
"I ordered the house 18. House Special Sampler and the peach Peach Cream as my beverage. It was interesting how they packaged the food, with several large pieces of injera on top, completely covering the food, instead of neatly rolled separately as pictured in some of their pictures. I did have to remove it and put it to the side in order to actually get to the main food. Otherwise, I would've had to eat most of the injera on its own, before being able to actually eat the food. The injera itself had an interesting taste to it, and not in a positive way. It was tasteless and yet also had that aforementioned taste. The 18. House Special Sampler I found to be rather bland, and the potatoes and cabbage were huge chunks. The potatoes didn't seem to be fully cooked as it had some hard parts to it. The only one that seemed to have some kind of flavor to it was the alicha. While it was my first time trying this, it just wasn't for me. Thus, I doubt that I'll order again."

"Gluten-free teff injera is a huge plus! My husband and daughter love the kitfo and banatu (beef dishes) and I'm a fan of the veggie combo with spicy mushrooms - delicious! "

"The Barcote's Fish Goulash was absolutely delicious! I'm always hesitant to order seafood for delivery, but this traveled well and the flavor was incredible. The Extra Injera was also amazing - some of the best injera bread I've had."
"Wow I've ordered from here before and the quality this time was horrible. The packaging wa speaking, meat tasted strange and bland, and the flavor wasn't there. The color of the "gluten free" injera was also seriously off. I will not order from here again.
And to top it all off the portions are so small and overpriced!"

Food is solid tho , better than Ethiopian in Temescal tbh. "

"There are a lot of great Ethiopian restaurants in the Bay Area, but Addis is my fave! Everything is delicious, but in my opinion, the raw kitfo is the best I've ever had. So smoothly ground and flavorful, the texture is amazing. Don't eat it cooked, you'll miss while this dish is so special. The owner is a great guy also!"
"I've had a lot of Ethiopian food in my life, and Addis has the best! You can't go wrong with their vegetarian combo. The yemeser wot is my favorite--so richly spiced. The injera is made with lighter teff flour, and it is perfectly spongy and sour. I've been coming here for nearly 15 years and it's always delicious! "

"They called me because they were out of one of the items, and were very nice about it. I was disappointed with the very, very small portions. "Fulfilling a craving of authentic Jamaican food. I could only really compare the dishes to a friend's Jamaican food and restaurants we tried in Florida. Definitely fall off the bone jerk chicken and the oxtail had great flavors! I originally ordered the white rice but they ran out. The clerk removed it from my order and asked for me to reorder the substitute I requested which was the rice and peas. But since I ordered later in the evening, DoorDash wouldn't allow me to order saying they were closed. I believe the manager Kevin said it would be on the house. So thankful for a great first experience! The rice and peas were a hit! Packed with flavor!! Anyone ordering just white rice is missing out!"

"Ethiopian Breakfast Combo was not worth the amount for a combo breakfast given the very little portion size. "Loved the adobo! Very different than any other adobo I've had without the hard boiled egg and with coconut milk in the broth but it was very delicious! The lechon kawali also remained quite crispy so that was a big okie! The pancit and lumpia were good."
"I really wanted to give 5 stars because I'm Filipino and want to support a Filipino establishment! But that would be dishonest. Overall, overpriced for the taste and the portion sizes. Lechon Kawali was bone dry and one-note. Doesn't tickle the palate, doesn't taste like home. Same thing with the Pancit . Dry, bland, noodles congealed together. Not moreish, not exciting. Tastes and feels like routinr
Halo Halo is the only dish they got right for us this evening, but they didn't cover it properly, so so much of it was exposed to goodness knows what.

"LISTEN UP PEOPLE LOOKING FOR REAL CARIBBEAN OR JAMAICAN FOOD. I'm from NYC and have truly been suffering without any jamaican food even close to being correct in the Bay. This place is the closest that delivers. Period. I have tried them all. The Oxtail Stew tastes the closest to correct and stew has the closest to the right consistency that you will find in this region (on a delivery app, at least). Is it perfect? No. Could it be better? Yes. But it is so much better than any other oxtail I've had in the Bay. It's generally trimmed correctly, tender, doesnt have a weird gamey taste, and the stew isnt broth or oily as fuck or filled with vegetables for no reason. For whatever reason, they serve the oxtail with white rice generally and they dont sell rice and peas as a side. Today, i received rice and peas with the oxtail but that's generally not the case even though i never check the white rice option. The Jerk Chicken Rice & Beans is okay but I generally get that mainly so I can have the oxtail with rice and peas like its supposed to be. The patty is good and flaky!! Anyway, def try them out!!"
"I ordered the Oxtail Stew and Ginger Beer. Not only was the stew missing any heat, it was also missing the flavor. It was easy to eat the meat off the bone because there wasn't much meat there. The plantain wasn't dry, but it wasn't sweet either. Thankfully, the rice tasted like rice. Ginger Beer had less kick than a dead donkey. And who is Theodore P? And why is it labeled a "Lemon Sherbet"?"
