"Best sushi restaurant ever. Their rolls are huge!! They're hand rolls? Also huge!!! Packaged beautifully. I am obsessed with their California (HR) literally never had a hand roll so big and filled. Their California rolls are so good too and everything just tastes sooo fresh. I add fresh salmon and lemon on top to make a "49er" version sushi roll since I'm from the Bay Area and those are my favorite and ugh it's so delicious. I love ordering from here. I've had their Cali Fry Roll as well and it was actually my first time trying it and goodness! They again, the rolls are so big that it's worth the price, and it tasted like heaven! Their Miso Soup is excellent. What I like about this place is you can remove sauces, add things to the roll as you wish which is super rare to find a place that accommodates! My parents have loved their Jalapeño Bombs. They highly recommend them. They never skimp out, for example I've gotten their Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with just rice before and holy cow I was able to have some for lunch AND dinner and it still was super fresh! Love their Philly Roll, their Sake Maki, and Dragon Roll. My sister loves their Ebi Nigiri, my mom loves their Maguro Nigiri, and I love love their fresh Sake Nigiri! Their Sake Don is incredible again this place gives so much and doesn't skimp out, which I LOVE!!! I do wish they sold their alcohol on here as well, I went in once and loved their Japanese Fruity Sake! So wonderful and not too sweet. Literally just right. They also have Shirley Temples which I love! Anyways 100000/10 place. A million stars. I love this place and it's the best ever."
"If you are lucky to get some real fish with your order, it's super thinly sliced. Also every piece fell apart when I grabbed it with chopsticks. They make it flimsy and don't cut the rolls all the way so they fall apart upon arrival. Very poor quality overall, very little fish, mostly veggies and rice. Blend flavors. "First time trying Umami Ramen and I can definitely say I will be ordering it again. I tried the R2. Spicy Tonkotsu (Thin Noodles), the Onigiri - Tuna, and the Oolong Tea (bottle).
The Spicy Tonkotsu ramen was a 10/10 for me! I ordered it mild and itstill had a spicy kick but the broth was rich and flavorful. The Pork Chashu was tender too! The noodles were bouncing which was a fun surprise being that I've never had ramen noodles this texture before.
The Tuna Onigiri was a nice complement to the spiciness of the ramen broth. It was a first time trying onigiri for me so I wasn't sure what to expect. The rice had a stickiness to it and the tuna was flavorful and not dry at all which I will say I was expecting but it was so good!
Lastly, the Oolong Tea to wrap up the whole meal. It was tasty, light and my ideal choice of beverage to wash down a delicious meal.
For a first time experience with Umami Ramen, it gets a 10/10 from me. The food's quality, the tastes, and overall presentation were remarkable. I will definitely be back. Strongly suggest! "

"Rose Garden has recently come under new ownership. The food is not the same. The menu on DD has changed. The staff is trying to work out the kinks of a new ordering system to the kitchen. I thought the kitchen staff would remain but clearly they did not. The wor wonton soup (our FAVE) is disappointedly different. More like a noodle soup with only a few wontons. We're trying to remain long time patrons but it's becoming difficult. Surly others have also noticed the changes in the food.
Note to owner; Please give your DD menu some attention. Dish titles without descriptions isn't good enough. Pictures and details are what's needed. Don't make us guess what the ingredients of the dish is. Thank you."

"After a tasty first order, I tried Ninja Express a second time, to sample other items. The Hibachi has not failed yet, that's 3 out of 3 wins! The meat was seared perfectly, the beef slices were more gingery than expected, but good! The teriyaki sauce did not overwhelm the dish. Lion King was a last minute add-on and it's a roarin' success. Balanced flavors in that sushi, with even-handed use of rice. I really like that they do NOT mask natural food flavors and drown the dishes with sauces. Having said that, go easy on the dressing for the avocado salad. Very crisp, fresh vegetables but a little of that dressing is enough. The avocado slices easily amp the richness and may also cause the salad to get soggy quickly. Generous dollop of crab there!

The 10 piece nigiri chef mix I ordered today has 2 old pieces of tuna on top meaning they are brownish-grey (lost of color), and has a funky smell like they been sitting out too long and not kept cold on ice. I still ate parts that were kind of "red" because I was hungry. The other fish pieces were good. I don't know if you're starting to skimp and use old fish because business is losing money or you hired a new sushi chef that isn't good. I'm giving 4 stars now because hopefully you'll bounce back."
