First the Oxtail soup was the worst I ever had, $29 for only one tiny oxtail and two poor pieces of tomato floating on the bland soup. The coriander was obviously not fresh at all, it’s yellow and has a weird taste. The whole soup tasted like someone’s leftovers that had been put in the fridge for two whole days, then microwaved in a rush to give to me. Second, the intestine noodles were even worse than a packet of instant noodles. The whole thing had no flavor or taste at all, the noodles mushy and soggy, the peanuts inside were small and sad. The noodles look like they were cooked by using an instant noodle pack but had added too much water to it. Please, if anyone sees this review, walk away from this restaurant, don’t waste your money! The pork liver dish Braised Pork 一品肝尖
was undercooked, showed red/pink on the liver pieces and tasted extremely bloody and bitter for some reason. We had to microwave it for an extra minute to make it barely edible.
Fried Sweet & Sour Pork 锅包肉 was supposed to be their signature dish, yet breading was all clumpy, starchy, sticky and soggy when arrived (which was shortly after driver picked up the dish ~10min) and meat was tough.
As a northeasterner, I am deeply saddened and disappointed to have such high expectations of this restaurant as we rarely have decent northern food in US, and 2 of my friends recommended) and realized the restaurant failed so miserably. With such quality of food, I don't know how they even exist till this day as a restaurant featuring northeastern food."
