OMG! Super stoked to find out that my family and I FAVORITE Filipino Max's Restaurant MOVED to SF location :) for years we were going to either the San Bruno or Daly City/Serramonte restaurants. And when we found out that Day City was closed, we were so shocked/sad because this is the closest one to our house (SF). My kids grew up eating to ONE of the BEST Filipino restaurants here in the Bay Area and our go-to fave, needless to say, Max's hits authentic back home cooking because my food taste buds suspicion, the cooks are our Aunties and Unc's :). My goodness AS ALWAYS the food that I ordered tasted savory, super freshness, and overall deliciouso, SPOT ON, the way I remembered dining at Max's. I had the Fried Max's Fried Chicken with the yam fries that's crispy, taste to perfection, lush, and the Bangus Sisig, lemme tell you about the Bangus Sisig (Crispy Boneless Milkfish Sisig) came with everything, usually I noticed with other Filipino restaurants they'll remove the head portion BUT with Max's they LEAVE it with the rest of the dish. And that folks makes the Bangus Sisig flavorful, tasty, and mouthwatering:) I cannot wait to order the REST/TASTE the other scrumptious Max's dishes. Also, please note, DO NOT FAULT the Max's restaurant nor your Food delivery person if it takes TAD long for your food, just know that it's WORTH the friggin wait because it's REALLY. REALLY. that. AMAZINGLY. GOOD. Lastly, to FOODIES Social Content Creators, I highly recommend to try Max's Restaurant, you will not be disappointed. Puff...I wrote novel....lol... I will 1000% order from Max's AGAIN and AGAIN :)
This is the most bland food I have ever tasted! Both the Pork Adobo (Soy-Garlic Braised Pork) and the Pork Sisig (Crispy Sizzling Pork) are flavorless. The portion is not as much as the other Filipino restaurant I order at, for the price . I don't know if I would order from here again if they don't event use salt.

The pork adobo was tasty but the portion was quite small (only 4-6oz) with very little sauce and accompanied only with plain rice. For the price point of $17 more is expected. It's not a good value, especially compared to others.

Both the Kare-Kare (Beef Meat in Peanut Stew & Vegetables) and Dinuguan (Savory Pork Stew) were under seasoned, watered down, and the meat chewy. Not on par with the quality from the other locations in South SF and Daly City. I was excited to find it on DoorDash since we don't have enough Filipino offerings in the city, but won't be ordering again.
